Whyte vs Parker.

Thrilling Heavyweight Boxing Clash : 3 Knockdown’s / 1 Great Fight

Dillian Whyte put down Joseph Parker for the first, then second time in his career as well as surviving a near-knockout in the final 30 seconds to claim a points win.

All heavyweight boxers will now stand up and realise ‘The body snatcher’ is ‘The Real Deal’ after that brilliant performance.

“Great Fight”

Whyte was more aggressive in his home city and a deserved victory in this high risk/high reward fight for both heavyweights.

Whyte’s big heart, desire and resilience was for all to see in this fight.

Former WBO champion Parker crumpled to the floor in the second round with a short left hook and partially a collision of heads. Parker was down for the first time but survived.

Parker regroups in the third landing jabs but little in the way of combinations in a battle of speed versus latent power.

Whyte wants a war in the fourth and gets his opponent to lose his cool. It’s a slugfest, and Whyte try’s to pin Parker back and force him into a close-range.

The middle rounds all went in the Londoner’s favour. Then in the ninth comes a brutal left hook from Whyte that might easily have ended the fight.

Then in the last few rounds Parker landed his own power shots in the 11th and the pendulum briefly swung.

Whyte was hurt, now tired, using the ropes but never willing to surrender.

Parker hammered Whyte with a right hand in the final round, sending him to the ground and to the verge of defeat. Whyte got up and somehow heard the final bell.

Judges Scorecards : 113-112, 115-110, 114-111.

Dillian Whyte on his victory over Joseph Parker :

“It was a great fight. I love this man. He has a massive future and career ahead of him. Like me, he took the fight with seven weeks notice and we had a 12-round slugfest.”

Eddie Hearn (Promoter) will now be looking at the Dereck Chisora fight next for Dillian on December 22nd 2018 at the O2 Arena in London.
